Beachy Little April Sunday!

We were able to enjoy the beach a lot this weekend with some great friends!! We were at the beach all day yesterday and today. We were joined by the Mayer's, Reed's, Strobel's, and several other new couples that I just met. The weather was so gorgeous all weekend. Here are some pictures from today. Check out what we found!!

Submarine Birthday Ball April 21, 2012

Last Saturday evening was the Submarine Birthday Ball! It happens every April to celebrate the birthday of the submarine force. The ball was at the Hyatt Regency which is right on the St. John's river in Jacksonville. We enjoyed a nice dinner, ceremony, and dancing. The ceremony was very touching. During the "tolling of the bells", a bell is rung in remembrance of each submarine that the United States has lost since the beginning of the sub force. There have been 52 total submarines lost. They played a slide show during the tolling of the bells that showed a picture of each of the subs, how they were lost, where they sunk, the date they sunk, and how many men were lost. It was a very chilling moment that put a lot in perspective. Overall, the ball was wonderful! We got to see a lot of our friends and I enjoyed getting all dolled up! :) Enjoy the pictures, there are a lot of them!

Ryan decided we needed a water softening system. Here it is! Plus they included a ton of soaps and detergents and cleaning products!

Birthday Surprise!!

This year was the first year that Mom and I had to spend our birthday apart. We share the same birthday so it was extra hard to be away from my mom. To my surprise, I found a really cheap last minute flight into Springfield so I decided to surprise Mom the day after our birthday! With a little help from Josh and David I was able to give Mom and the best birthday surprise ever! It was so priceless!! We got it all on video too!! A special thank you to my camera man, Josh, for capturing it all!! :)

Easter Time!

I love Easter time! My mom always used to make an Easter tree using a branch from our woods. I always loved it! So, now that I have a house of my own, I decided to make one myself. Here it is! And thank you to Cassie for the adorable egg lights!
