Christmas Already!
Since Ryan and I will be home for Thanksgiving, we decided to go ahead and put up our Christmas decorations! We found an awesome tree at Wal-Mart for only $88! We love it! Here are some pictures of our Christmas stuff!
Mack got to go "bye bye" today to get our tree. We decided to take the car (mistake) and poor little man had to share the backseat with the tree! haha!
Put together and ready for lights!
Thanks for the Mack ornament Grands!!
Ryan and I found this ornament today. I love old keys and this one is perfect! It says, "First Christmas in Our New Home 2011"
Two new key ornaments!
All done!
My Bridal Collection Tree! Thank you Grands, I love it!
And last but not least, my tree from David!! Love it!!

Onion Idea
Ryan and I eat a lot of meals that call for green onions. The recipes usually don't call for a whole lot, however, you have to buy a huge bunch of green onions at the store and they usually go bad before we use them all. So, I decided to start regenerating my own onions :) I simply put the left over white tips in a glass with some water, sat them on the window sill, and out came more green onions! The amount of growth in the picture only took 2 days! Now I can harvest and keep regenerating my own green onions!

My Homemade Ornament Wreath!
I found a pin on Pinterest explaining how to make an ornament wreath so I decided to give it a try myself. It was super easy to do but time consuming. I used a piece of foam tubing from the plumbing department at Lowe's. It was only 97 cents and about three times as big as the styrofoam wreaths at Michael's that cost $8. I used plastic, shatterproof ornaments (since I'm going to hang it outside) and I found all of the ornaments on amazon.com for 60% off. I had three different sizes of ornaments and I used about 160 total on mine, which is the key to making it look big and full, so definitely look for cheap, discounted ornaments! I also used ribbon for the wreath to hang by. I took pictures of my step by step process so that I can share this idea with you all!
My ornaments from amazon.com and the foam tubing from Lowe's.
First, trim the tubing down to the size of wreath you want and use duct tape to hold the ends together.
Next, hot glue on the largest ornaments in an even pattern. These ornaments will not glue well at first because the hot glue melts the tubing. Be patient and hold the ornament until it dries completely. Don't worry if your ornaments feel pretty flimsy at first. Once the ornaments start getting layered, you will begin to glue them to other ornaments so it will secure them more.
Now being to glue on the second largest ornaments. Glue them to the foam and to the largest ornaments. This will secure the ornaments better that just having them glued to the foam. Also, at this step, find an open spot and loop a long piece of ribbon around the wreath knotting it to secure it. Once secure to the wreath, make a loop to hang the wreath by and knot it. Then use the rest of the ribbon to make a big bow.
Finally, start gluing on the smallest ornaments. Simply fill in all of the holes. Be sure to remember the inside and outside edges of the wreath!
And...TA DA!! Hang and ENJOY!!
My wreath is so large that we need to reposition our wreath hook but I couldn't wait to take pictures and share!! I LOVE my wreath and can't wait to start decorating for Christmas!!
The Pine Cone Obsession Continues...
I collected more pine cones tonight! Check out this monster I found! I took a picture of it next to my hand to give you a size comparison.
NAS Jax Airshow 2011
The Naval Air Station in Jacksonville held their annual airshow this weekend. Nora, Baden, Ryan, and I all went and had a lot of fun! It was pretty cold here in Florida this weekend though. It was in the mid 50s and with the airshow being at the naval air station, there was absolutely nothing to block the wind. We were all pretty chilled by the end of the day! The airshow was definitely worth it though. The Blue Angels were the best act of the day in my opinion. I am just blown away at how close and accurately they fly! Here are some awesome pictures and videos!
There are actually two planes in this picture flying upside down. The top one is upside down and there is a fourth plane on the other side of the middle plane that is also flying upside down!
This picture was taken right after the two planes crossed each other flying sideways. It looked like they were going to hit!
Five out of the six planes flying sooo close together!
Two upside down planes crossing and flying in the opposite directions. At the bottom right of the picture you can see the foggy skyline of downtown Jacksonville.
All six together!

More Pine Cone Crafts!
Here's another craft I did with pine cones for Christmas decorations. I know it's only the beginning of November but I already want to decorate for Christmas!
Bath Boy
I've never had a dog that actually likes taking a bath. Mack loves the bath and will get in the tub just to lay. Here's an older picture from around the middle of September and the second picture is one from today.
