Trick or Treat!!

Happy Halloween family and friends!! This is the first year that I've ever lived in a typical neighborhood where kids actually trick or treat.  I was really excited to pass out candy!  The evening has been great so far with a pretty steady flow of trick or treaters. We even had a little girl (around 8 or 9 years old) treat or treat us while talking on a cell phone!!

Our porch is all ready for trick or treaters! My witch's broom is on and ready to scare!

Jacksonville Zoo

Ryan and I went to the Jacksonville Zoo today.  It was pretty nice!  They had several animals that I don't remember seeing in a zoo before.  The weather was gorgeous as well!

Warthogs! The sign said that the 4 babies were born on April 5, 2011 :)

Rhinos

One braaave lizard!! He was crawling all over that python... ICK! And speaking of ICK, the zoo had a Japanese garden area and while we were walking through, a LOOSE giant black snake came out of the bushes and slithered by!!

Cool leopard

The giraffes were awesome too! They were letting people feed the giraffes so they were coming right up to the walkway. It was pretty neat!

Daddy's Boy

All that pumpkin carving wears a boy out!  Mack was all snuggled up with his daddy last night :)

Not going to lie, there was something a little odd about carving pumpkins in Florida. Besides the lack of pumpkin patches, or nice and big pumpkins anywhere, the weather here was a "chilly" 70 degrees! Anyway, despite the circumstances, we had a lot of fun! Especially Ryan who decided to use his drill...

Preparing for Christmas!

Halloween isn't quite here yet but I've already started crafting for Christmas!  Our neighborhood is full of huge pine trees that have recently been dropping their large pine cones.  On our last walk, Mack and I collected several to start a craft with.  I love the way they turned out so I'm going to collect more cones to glitter  and use them as a table centerpiece in a large bowl.  I also have several other crafts in mind! :)

Christmas in Florida?

Ryan and I discovered this "Christmas tree" the other day at Wal-Mart. Naturally, Ryan wants it lol It's fitting I suppose!

Volleyball!

I just started playing on a volleyball league on base with Rachel, one of the other Wyoming wives.  We've been having a blast! The last team we played was really competitive and we had a great game. Here are some pictures!

Ryan and I went to the Jags game on October 24th with a group of people.  We tailgated and had a lot of fun!  The Jags played the Ravens and the Jags actually won!!

The Haunted Broom!

My Grands sent me this cool haunted broom to add to my growing collection of Halloween decorations! I love it!! Thank you Grands!! However, I'm not so sure Mack loves it...
